Carnival of Cryptids will be available very soon. Expect to see interviews right here in a couple of days with all of the writers/creative team involved.
Far From Home 4: Directive is in the hands of Edinatrix Laurie Laliberte so that will be available very soon.
I’m back working on From Brighton With Love and hope to release that in April, with Far From Home 5: Allies before that in March.
I’ve also been developing an urban fantasy trilogy I will write once Far From Home is finished (after the summer) with the first book, Cypher, due in December. Then in 2014 it will be followed by books 2 & 3, Dred and Blaze respectively. If you’re wondering if Dred is a typo, it’s really not. Look it up. It may give a clue as to what the series will be about.
Beforehand I’ll be releasing a short story set in the series called Blades. It will serve as a taster of the bigger work to follow.
I’m currently re-reading The Chronicles of Narnia, and I’m watching one Rocky film a week. My wife and I are also going back through Harry Potter. We only recently finished watching the whole series again, but we just can’t stop ourselves.
I thought the Fringe finale was just fantastic, and I will be re-watching it to catch any little things I missed. I was blown away by it, in fact, although I guess the ending weeks ago. I knew it would reset to the park. Because that’s what I would’ve done. It was the emotional center of the season.
I’ve been listening to The Wall whilst writing. When it comes to writing crime, From Brighton With Love, listening to something so tortured and multi-layered helps. Try it.
