This Snapshot From ‘Ascension’ Where I Predict The Future

The Curiosity rover has found something up on Mars. But until they can verify what they THINK they’ve found, Nasa are keeping their cards close to their chests.

So before we get an official announcement, I want to post a little section from my WIP, ‘Ascension,’ where we learn how humans came to colonise the red planet:

When the Curiosity rover detected the first evidence of ancient microbial life in 2021, the International Space Agency knew that the taxpayers would want a manned-mission to follow up on the discovery. But they needed time. There were many small steps to take before making the giant leap. By the time they were finished getting man back on the moon, and landing humans on comets, it was the 2030’s…

Let’s see if I’m right.

  1. You realize that if they do announce what we all expect them to announce, you’re gonna have to revise that passage — which would be totally awesome!
