I’m picking my way back through The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. I read it a couple of years ago, and have been meaning to give it a re-read for a while. It’s one of the best books I’ve ever read, I think. I highly recommend it.
Of course, the going is slow as my mind is on Ascension. But it’s still good to break away from it a bit and read a chapter or so of The Historian for a change of pace.
Nanowrimo has its ups and downs. On Sunday and Monday there was a lot going on, family matters etc, and I only wrote 100 words on both of those days, compared to the thousands I managed prior to that. I expected a few hiccups along the way, and I’m sure that’s not the end of them. I have my daughter’s birthday this month, my wife’s, my mother’s fiftieth. There’s going to be disruption. But I’m sure it will pull itself together in the end.
Don’t forget, you can keep track of my progress on the right hand side of the screen. I try to update it after every writing sprint.
