This week I’ve been reading 2010: Odyssey Two by Arthur C. Clarke.
I’ve been watching Master and Commander on bluray and listening to my old faithful writing music, Jimmy Page live with the Black Crowes. I’ve also been listening to First Light by the Easy Star All-Stars. A very fine reggae album. I can’t stop listening to it.
This week I finished up on Far From Home 2: Commander and started a rewrite of my KAS2 submission. Once I’m done with that, I’ll be working on Far From Home 3: Hero. I have a short story I’m going to write called My Conversations With Santa, the profits from that will go to a charity supporting Downs Syndrome. Then after that I’ll be hitting my big sci-fi novel Ascension for a March release. I’m really excited about it. It’s the novel I’ve been waiting to write for years, and now everything has come together to allow me to do it in the way I want to do it.
I realised that, of the two projects (Nanowrimo and Ascension) I couldn’t switch my head off from Ascension. And the research is getting more and more involved. So maybe at the beginning of next year I’ll do it. But for now I have to be realistic and stick with the projects I’m actually ready to work 0n right now.
So, FFH2, FFH3, KAS2, My Conversations With Santa, and Ascension.
Anyway, enough of my rambling. Until next week!
