So. I’m coming back to The Big Sleep. I do this sometimes. Most of the time it’s the books fault. Sometimes I just get caught up with other stuff and spend a week or so not reading a book, and then when I pick it straight back up it doesn’t feel quite right to be reading it. In this case its the latter. So it’s going back on the shelf for a little while until I pick it back up again.
It’s like, if the writer has let me down then its bye bye to the book. But if its me who has let the book itself down? We’ll tangle one day soon. If that even makes sense.
So I have started reading CHOKE HOLD by Christa Faust. I absolutely loved MONEY SHOT and this second adventure of Angel Dare isn’t disappointing me in the least. I’m reading from a paperback copy. All of my Hard Case Crime books are actual books. I am fully committed to the kindle, and to epub. However there are certain books that are just plain better to read the old way. With their fab cover art and expert layout they’re a real pleasure to collect. They look great on my shelf, and my collection is steadily growing.
(By the way, don’t tell the wife I’ve been ordering them. I’m hoping she doesn’t notice)

Anyway, I’ve been watching nothing in particular, unless you count Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butthead. I’ve been listening to a bit of old stuff that I did a mix of ages ago. I threw a bit of everything on it.

Oh yeah, and a shout out to David Hulegaard who got to meet Hideo Kojima last week. Fucking amazing. I’ve always loved Solid Snake and Metal Gear. The man is a legend.
Now my wish: please redo MGS1 from the Ps1 so that it is up to speed on the ps3. I have the ps1 port from the PS Store, but it’s time to upgrade it.
